Dr. Maxin Reiss is a co-founder of BMC with Dr. Jon Bailey in 1980. Dr. Reiss was one of the Charter Certificants of the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, President of the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis in 1987-88, and on the board of Editors for the Journal for Professional Practice of Applied Behavior Analysis and The Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis. She was the recipient of the Outreach Project Award for Behavior Analysis by the International Association for Behavior Analysis, and the Public Service Award for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis in the Community by the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis. She has been published in a variety of journals, and has presented across the country on a wide range of topics related to the practice and application of Behavior Analysis.
At BMC, Dr. Reiss led the introduction of behavior analysis to multiple school districts, residential facilities, and families across the panhandle of Florida. She grew BMC into a company that supports hundreds of children, families, classrooms and individuals with exceptional behavioral needs, as well as a team of highly skilled behavior analysts now serving in all regions of Florida, South Georgia, and Alabama. She has led, supervised, and trained over 130 BCBAs now practicing across the country, many of them now leading Behavior Analysis companies under the BMC model of ethical and professional practice. She continues to be dedicated to the team and the company she built as well as her husband Andy, two daughters, Aly and Dana, and her two grandchildren.
