Since 1980, Behavior Management Consultants (BMC) has provided ABA therapy in Valdosta to support children and families through personalized behavioral services designed to meet real-life needs. Services

Behavioral Assessment

A behavior assessment is a careful review of skills, routines, and challenges across home, school, or clinic settings. The results guide an individualized plan that focuses on meaningful goals and positive support strategies.

Parent Training

Parent training gives families tools and guidance to support learning and positive behavior at home. Our team partners with caregivers to make strategies easy to understand and use in daily life.

Direct ABA Therapy

Direct ABA therapy provides one-to-one support focused on building meaningful skills and positive behaviors. Services are delivered by trained staff in clinic, home, school, or community settings and are tailored to each individual’s goals and daily routines.

BCBA Supervision & Clinical Oversight

BCBA supervision ensures all services are guided by experienced clinicians who develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed. Ongoing oversight helps maintain quality, consistency, and individualized support across all settings.

Settings

Clinic

We offer clinic-based ABA therapy and autism services for children from infancy through elementary school. Children receive one-to-one applied behavior analysis therapy from RBTs, with ongoing supervision from BCBAs, in a structured and supportive environment. We also provide parent training to help families apply behavior strategies beyond the clinic. 

School

Our school-based ABA services provide behavioral support in educational settings, delivered by RBTs with BCBA oversight. Services are individualized, data-driven, and designed to support academic engagement, social development, and positive classroom behavior through collaboration with school teams.

Home

Our home-based ABA services provide individualized behavior analysis support in the child’s home, delivered by RBTs with BCBA oversight. Services focus on building functional skills, supporting positive behavior, and partnering with families through ongoing parent training.

Community
Our community-based ABA services provide behavioral support in community settings, delivered by RBTs with BCBA oversight.  Services are individualized, data-driven, and designed to support community engagement and social development through collaboration with caregivers and community members.

Ashley Mitchell-Buckman, BCBA

Area Lead, Director of Clinical Services

Ashley Mitchell-Buckman is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who works for Behavior Management Consultants. Ashley provides consultation to families across the Tallahassee, FL and South Georgia areas and is the Director of Clinical Services in Valdosta, GA. Ashley graduated from the University of South Florida with her MA in Applied Behavior Analysis. Prior to this, she gained experience with individuals with special needs as a general education teacher who collaborated with ESE staff to provide additional layers of intervention and support through her classroom. Through her work as an elementary school teacher, Ashley discovered her passion for working with individuals with diverse needs and providing support to their families.

Ashley continues to channel her passion for learning and teaching others with her work with children and families through the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This has also culminated into Ashley merging a combination of her different backgrounds across education, behavior analysis, and dance to also teach dance classes for individuals with disabilities at a local dance studio. Ashley continues to look for opportunities to provide quality behavior analytic services to neurodiverse children and their families. 

Amberlee Culp, BCBA

Team Leader

Amberlee Culp is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in Tallahassee, FL and Valdosta, GA. Amberlee was born and raised in Cape Coral, Florida. She attended the University of Florida and received a Bachelors of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. She then went on to earn her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Florida State University. 

Amberlee discovered her love for helping individuals with various exceptionalities while working at a summer camp in Vermont. From there she became an RBT to provide early intervention services in the clinic setting. Since earning her BCBA certification, Amberlee has implemented the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA) with both children and adults across a wide range of  environments including homes, schools, clinics, and community environments. 

Yamileth Diaz, BCBA

Team Leader
Yami Diaz is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Team Lead with Behavior Management Consultants, serving families across the Tallahassee, Florida and Valdosta, Georgia areas. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and later completed her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at Florida State University. Throughout her graduate training and professional career, Yami has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, daycares, group homes, and clinical environments. She has extensive experience providing early intervention services and supporting individuals across the lifespan, from toddlers to seniors. While this broad experience has shaped her clinical perspective, Yami’s primary passion lies in early intervention and working with young children.

Yami is especially dedicated to supporting learners in building independence across critical skill areas, including communication, socialization, self-care, and daily living skills. Through her work at Behavior Management Consultants, she has collaborated with families and interdisciplinary teams to create meaningful, lasting change. Yami is deeply committed to compassionate, ethical, and effective behavior analytic services that prioritizes dignity, progress, and quality of life.
